There seem to be two types of Coconut Cream Pies. One has a whipped topping type of filling and the other is a cream based filling. Well at Papa C Pies Bakery, ours is the Cream based style! We use a blend of Heavy Whipping Cream and Half n Half to create a rich filling for our pie. Sprinkle in some coconut flakes into the filling and topped with Toasted Coconut Flakes, this is one delectable pie! My own wife who is not a big fan of coconut in general (more of a texture thing than taste) likes our pie!
Pie ingredients: Coconut, unbleached flour (wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), sugar, milk, butter, vanilla, eggs, cornstarch, spices, salt. This Product is made in a facility that processes: cinnamon, eggs, dairy, gluten, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, & wheat.
